Hi everyone !
I'm a beginner with ESP32 and I would like to know how I could flash my ESP-WROOM-32. I made some researches but there is still things that I didn't understand and also don't know if it's possible.
So, I would like to flash the ESP32 and to do that I have a 10 pins on my board connected to the ESP32 and I planned to use a Tag connect to join my ESP32 to an adapter. I saw that different adapter could be use and I saw the TIAO USB Multi-protocol Adapter https://www.diygadget.com/jtag-cables-a ... erial.html . I'm wondering if it's possible to do like this because my Tag connect has 10 pins and I see that the adapter has 20 pins if I'm right.
If you have any ideas or advice I take them !
Thank you for your time and you help

Re: Jtag connection with ESP32 & adapter
I saw that 10-pin to 20-pin like this exists : https://www.embeddedartists.com/product ... g-adapter/. Pin seems to match, between TC2050 10-pin output and the 20-pin input of the TIAO USB Multi-Protocol Adapter. Do you think it's good and possible solution ?

Re: Jtag connection with ESP32 & adapter
For those of you who are wondering, I managed to flash the esp32 with the TAG CONNECT 2050 and an ARM-USB-OCD-H. And I just linked the good pin between the ARM and the tag connect.
And then used the command in the esp/openocd-esp32 file:
And then used the command in the esp/openocd-esp32 file:
Code: Select all
openocd -f tcl/interface/ftdi/olimex-arm-usb-ocd-h.cfg -f tcl/target/esp32.cfg -c "program_esp32 myproject.bin 0x10000 verify exit"

Nice - is it possible to detail your tag-connect pinout - the graphic is a little hard to read. Any other tips re your working set-up?
