ESP-WROOM-32D randomly shuts down and doesn't turn back on

Hello, I am using an ESP-WROOM-32D and it runs 24/7, I used to connect it to power using the micro usb with a phone charger plug, but then I read it isn't reliable so I cut the wire and connected it directly to the 5V and GND pins but it doesn't make a difference.

The ESP randomly shuts down after about an hour or so of usage (it uses TCP if thats important), what could be the issue?

what are the symptoms? when the shutdown occurs, do the LEDs of the board continue to light?

Given you suspect the power supply, have you already tried using a different USB adapter to see if it still does this?
