esptool.py problem

Hi there.
I am using arduino ide to program an esp8266.
When I compile the program I find that I cannot upload it to the micro because it gives me the following error:

esptool.FatalError: Failed to connect to ESP8266: Timed out waiting for packet header
esptool.FatalError: Failed to connect to ESP8266: Timed out waiting for packet header

I am using arduino ide 1.8.16 and the version of esptool.py is v3.0
How can I solve this to be able to upload the programs to the micro ?.

Hi @zepjau. I am having ESP32-S CAM and I am having similar fatal error.
I have set to define the module as CAMERA_MODEL_WROVER_KIT in Arduino IDE. For the communication of the module with the PC, I am using an FTDI USB to TTL converter. I have setup "ESP32 Board" by Arduino Board Manager. I want to test the "CameraWebServer" example code (Arduino IDE->File->Examples->ESP32->Camera->CameraWebServer) with my ssid and password, but it is giving error while uploading after successful compilation. The error is as per following :

I checked if there is anything coming on Arduino Serial Monitor. For that, I opened the Serial Monitor and reset the module. The output is as below :

PSRAM Initialization Failure
ESP32-CAM-MB

It shows the MicroSD Memory Card that I have inserted is detected and it is also able to decide how much memory the MicroSD memory card has which is 30543MB here. The PSRAM fails to initialiaze it says. This output I have checked many times.
