I'm using a Node MCU devkitC v4.0 board(ESP32-WROOM-32U chip) in AP mode and hosting a webserver, which I access using my android mobile device as the client.
When I try switching to a different wifi network such as my home wifi network, the mobile device will always keep trying to reconnect to the AP and wont allow me to connect to my home wifi network or any other available network for as long as the AP wifi network is available.
This problem will only disappear when I restart my phone and occasionally recurs from time to time.
What could be the issue?
ESP32 access point network prohibits client connection to any other available networks
Re: ESP32 access point network prohibits client connection to any other available networks
Hi Albert,
to me this looks like your phone is having some problem, as the restart fixes it.
It also may be an interference issue. Try changing the wifi channel on your wifi AP or the ESP.
Can you try other devices if they experience the same problem? (Try a different phone, a laptop...)
