ESP-NOW Slave requesting data from Master

Hi,

Is there a way, using ESP-NOW, for the slave/receiver to request the data from the master/sender? As opposed to the master just sending out data on some given interval? In this case the master will be battery operated and , of course, I'd like the battery to last for more than a year before replacement.
