Streaming Audio Between two Lyra-T boards

Postby ifenta » Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:16 pm

Is there a way to stream data directly between two Lyra boards?

I tried using ESP-MESH but it is said that it does not support audio streaming. My other strategy is to create a server the two boards connect to and read data that the other posted (ie lyra 1 posts to file1 and reads file2, and lyra 2 posts to file2 and reads from file1). Does anyone else have any experience in this? I feel it should be straight forward but I cant figure it out currently.

Thanks in advance!

I am very interested in this topic. I'd like to do the same, but was thinking it would require one of the two LyraT boards to become a master or server and the other a slave. It could possibly be done using bluetooth, and the two boards are paired where one is the slave device. I don't know anything much yet about BT but I think this would work.

My question then is how much latency would there be, and if this is for some point to point voice comms, you would then want to find a suitable echo cancellation algorithm to use with it.
