According to this post, BLE and WiFi cannot be used at the same time so that would definitely be something to improve on.

They can co-exist together. So for example you can have a BLE peripheral connected to a phone with the esp32 as a AP at the same time. This is what we do in on of our applications. It works really well.
However since they share the same RF radio they cant transmit/receive at the same time. This means that they will use some form of time division multiplexing to share the same radio. This might have a slight impact on wifi throughput, or on how quickly a ble scanner can discover advertising devices.
Most phones have a similar scheme for 2.4ghz wifi and ble. while most phones do have two radios, one is a 2.4ghz radio and the other is 5ghz. so the 2.4ghz radio in phones will have a similar form of co-existance.

Reduced power consumption.
Maybe a finer grain of power usage by better controlling cpu frequency. Also ability to shutdown main cores and continue execution with the ULP. I know there would be problems with that as the architecture is completely different but it would be great if it could be done. Maybe have a ULP declaration for functions that would automatically run on the ULP.
Also (partly to reduce power), make the radio (optionally/also) work on narrower bandwidth such as 802.15.4 and offer same range for lower power or increased range. 802.15.4 would also permit zigbee or other mesh networks to be realised.
Analogue.
Include some op-amps and if they could have dynamically changeable (ie. not fixed at compile time) fine grained gain control all the better. Some comparators would be nice as well.

Not specifically hardware related - give access to the low-level wifi functionality:
- Packet injection with send callbacks (like the esp8266)
- Monitor mode with hardware packet filters (MAC bases)
- Manual rate & modulation & channel selection

1) open source the Wi-Fi stack or publish register level specifications so we can add features like IEEE 802.11s Wi-Fi mesh, simultaneous AP/STA, WDS, etc
2) support a port of Nuttx with an open Wi-Fi stack
3) add sub-1000 MHz radio support and let us open source devs add IEEE 802.11af or 802.11ah
This will absolutely *crush* your competition.

Based on nuttx and runs on Samsung's new iot chip with open wifi driver.
