ESP32 with small PCB searched.

Postby ROB_87 » Mon Jul 31, 2017 4:45 pm

Hi,

I'm Robert from germany. I searching a ready to use small PCB with a ESP32 on it. Do you have a advice where I can find such?
It ist for a RC-Car(1:24) project.

It isn't necessary to have all pins outside, because I would like to use a bus system.

https://de.aliexpress.com/store/product ... 53522.html This looks good but it has a USB-Chip on it, witch I don't need i think.

Thank's for your help.

Robert

Hello Robert. Have you already looked at the modules that do not have a DIP pinout? For example, the module you mentioned is based on the WROOM32 module, which is also obtainable separately.

Thats the smallest that I own:

The photos don't really do it justice, its amazingly small while still full-featured. Not cheap though. Remember you'll have to set the flash to DOUT mode.

I am waiting for a module like this:

I placed the order a few days ago.

nice - you know, that the modul can't connect to a breadboard?
( double pinheader pins left and right are nice but they are different signals from neighboring pin)

best wishes

Yep, they look nice at first sight but I never use them because of this.

You can solder two outer rows of pins on bottom side of board and two inner rows on top ;)

Yes, I know. I will use a PCB solution. I want to explore low power consumption ESP32 designs using batteries, deep sleep and BLE.

ah  one row it wants to be put on the breadboard and the other row put from above
very nice :D this modul becomes own special character.
then perhabs better, we connect wire from the board to the breadboard ?
Or we will take an adapter hole grid board for soldering the breakout adapter board
and then we wire the hole grid board to the breadboard -
i see - this is a good exercise for beginners
(After the exercise then:: we make then an adapter board for the hole grid board that fits on a breadboard too)
