ESP-Hosted Project building and help using with otherlinux processors

I have researched looking for documentation on how to build the project locally. But I have not been able to find anything on how this is accomplished. I have worked with the ESP-IDF in the past, and also used esp-at that I was able to use and build locally. Basically I am needing to be able to configure the project for me specific set up. Also looking for documentation on how to set up the device tree for the host embedded linux system as well. Any help or direction for documentation would be helpful.
