Hello.

Is there any API document that describes how the Bluetooth onboard can be used? I searched the few documents that I came across but am unable to locate specifically Bluetooth API.

No there has not be a release of source code or documents pertaining to bluetooth. Official product launch isn't until end of June.

I'm not sure these documents are for the released ESP32 ...

As far as I can see, these links point to a Github project located here:

https://github.com/espressif/ESP31_RTOS_SDK

If we visit that page and then look at the description at the top of the page, we read:
ESP31B SDK on FreeRTOS. For ESP32 please see http://github.com/espressif/esp-idf
It is almost as though these docs were for the the early prototype boards (ESP31) and we are now being pointed to the "final" ESP32 where the ESP32 SDK is now called "ESP-IDF". If that's the case, the documents in these links (pointing to ESP31_RTOS_SDK) may not longer be truly relevant.
Free book on ESP32 available here: https://leanpub.com/kolban-ESP32

Hi Kolban,

Thanks, this is correct. I've renamed the thread to reflect this.

For ESP32, the API header files in esp-idf contain doxygen-style comment documentation. We're curently discussing how to host these in a formatted version.
