Can not add esp box to esp box app

I tried following the getting started page on the GitHub and flashing new firmware but I keep receiving a “device not found” error when trying to add the esp box to the app.

On the box I have a QR to connect to the Wifi and that works. And the page on 192.168.4.1 shows the sample web page with the light control.

But no matter how I try I can’t get it added to the app.

I have Bluetooth on. I tried searching via QR codes on the box. I tried doing that while connected to the esp-box Wifi.

I already tried that. Downloading the bin file available on the GitHub page. It said it finished uploading the firmware and I pressed the reset button and it restarted. I’ll try it again.

I tried to download the firmware again. It worked this time and the software on the box is different. I think the mistake I made before was that I didn't click the checkbox next to the bin file. The downloading took longer this time compared to the first time I tried.

yes, you need click the checkbox, the normal flash time is under 5 mins.
