Dear ESP developers!
There is a problem in ESP-IDE 3.1.0 with the 5.4 framework in Windows 11: the terminal built into the ESP-IDE automatically starts after the project is flashed on the same COM port. It's nice and convenient. But this terminal does not release the port later, even when you force it to disconnect or close it. In the terminal window, it says that the port is closed, but in fact it remains busy, and the next firmware of the project ends with the error "port cannot be opened". The only thing that helps is to force the removal of the "Python" task in the WINDOWS task Manager. And this should be done every time after the firmware! How do I make the built-in terminal release the port normally? Or how to disable this terminal altogether?
The built-in terminal occupies the COM port
Re: The built-in terminal occupies the COM port
I'm probably not the only one who uses a bunch of WIN11 + IDE 3.1 + framework 5.4. Doesn't anyone else have this problem?

Hello,
While we investigate further why the port is getting blocked, you can avoid this issue by unchecking "Open Serial Monitor after Flashing" in the project’s Edit Configuration settings.
Please find the screenshot for reference. With this change, the serial monitor will not open automatically after flashing.
Thanks!
