Simple switch to turn on my fireplace with low voltage

I have my ESP32 connected to my Home Assistant and I have my circuit and everything working over wifi. I can turn on a GPIO pin which represents the fireplace switch. All that is fine.

However, the actual manual switch on my fireplace runs with very little voltage. About 0.2v.
The output of the GPIO is 3.3v but I am wondering if I can bring it down to 0.2v?

I'm not sure my fireplace will take the 3v so I want to check before I move my project into the real environment.
Maybe it's just simpler to wire in a resistor between the GPIO and the switch?

Thanks!

Something does not sound correct there. Maybe its AC and your reading with a DC meter ?

Best bet is to use a relay.

Would it be possible that the fireplace control is 4-20mA and not voltage based?

Thanks for the replies so far. Here is a page that shows the parts I'm working with. https://www.manualsdir.com/manuals/1912 ... ml?page=21

The area bottom right (smaller circle) that shows the orange black and green wires matches what I see on my fireplace. I can't tell if it's the same model number but I did reach out to Napoleon and haven't heard back yet.

The switch on my wall goes to the orange and green wires. When I measure the voltage with the fire and switch off (0v) and switch on (0.2v) - when the fire comes on (when the pilot light is lit).

Hope this helps

Do you have an example of a low voltage relay I could use?

Best to use a relay.
