Could not wait and not sleep
think it looks good..

the world's first "hello world" with low rate on esp32 ;-)
done!
left tcp server with low rate
listen
after client connect , send hello world

right tcp client with low rate
connect and receive data

Hi, I tried this code with present version of ESP-IDF and it fails. What could went wrong?
The debug console returns

Code: Select all

"I (91) wifi: wifi firmware version: 403db1d
I (91) wifi: config NVS flash: enabled
I (91) wifi: config nano formating: disabled
I (91) system_api: Base MAC address is not set, read default base MAC address from BLK0 of EFUSE
I (101) system_api: Base MAC address is not set, read default base MAC address from BLK0 of EFUSE
I (131) wifi: Init dynamic tx buffer num: 32
I (131) wifi: Init data frame dynamic rx buffer num: 32
I (131) wifi: Init management frame dynamic rx buffer num: 32
I (131) wifi: wifi driver task: 3ffc02bc, prio:23, stack:4096
I (141) wifi: Init static rx buffer num: 10
I (141) wifi: Init dynamic rx buffer num: 32
I (151) wifi: wifi power manager task: 0x3ffc4efc prio: 21 stack: 2560
W (151) wifi: ap start fail"
If I comment line with

Code: Select all

esp_wifi_set_protocol
it works.

Please help

Hello, all
I've prepared LR protocol demo based on 2 esp-wroom32 dev boards. I used esp-idf's tcp-perf example as base to prepare RX and TX nodes. I set up channel and protocol (

Code: Select all

WIFI_PROTOCOL_LR
) and during the test I've got about 0.23Mbits/s throughput but the link range is similar to the same setup but using 802.11B protocol. The minimal RSSI level I've got was -92dBm.
Any advice to make the link range wider?

Hello,
For my end-project for school I'm also exploring the world of the ESP32 LR mode. The distance I could get with this was around 140 meter. This was when sending only the character 'b' with this code I've found on the internet: https://github.com/jnogues/ESP32-Long-Range-WiFi.

1. Do you know how I can expand this distance (more than 140 meter), I'm using the doit esp32 devkit v1 without external antenna.
2. Do you still have the code that you were using at Thu Mar 30, 2017. With the "world's first "hello world" with low rate on esp32"?

Kind regards,
Stijn Verhelst
