I'm starting to design a breakout board for the ESP-WROOM-32 module and I'm looking at the ESP32-DevKit reference design as a starting point. One thing that really stood out was that they recommend a 100uF decoupling cap on the 3V3 input to the module. That seems like a lot, especially given that there's a few 10uF caps in the module itself. Does anyone out there have practical experience as to whether such a huge decoupling cap is really necessary? If anyone has tried a 47 or 10 uF cap instead and found it to work reliably, I'd love to hear.
Thanks!
What size decoupling cap is necessary for ESP-WROOM-32?

My team made a custom PCB that uses 10uF and that works nicely!
