Antenna and reachability
Some times it is reported that reach is only 10-100 meters? What were your experiences?

antennas are a huge part of it. you have to consider the following factors:
1. are you putting the module in the right way? e.g. if there is a ground plane covering the module's antenna, it will not only short out the signals, but also cause distortion, possibly making most of the signal indecipherable.
2. are there other grounds that might block the path of the signal. you might be relying on reflections of the signal instead of a direct path. unfortunately, there is no easy solution for this, except for implementing antenna diversity.
3. check the power supply; does it collapse during transmission?
4. check the receiver as well, e.g. router or mobile hotspot.
does 10m include a couple of walls?
