Waveshare 4" LCD works on IDF v5.3.1 not on v5.3.2

I bought a Waveshare ESP32-S3 4inch Capacitive Touch Display.

They have ESP-IDF demo code for LVGL. When I tried it with ESP-IDF v5.3.1 it works and looks just fine.

I just recently upgraded to IDF v5.3.2 and now recompiling the same code the LCD looks like this.

I have no idea where to even start looking on what v5.3.2 broke to cause this. Anyone have any ideas where to look ?
