Schematic / PCB tutorials for beginners

Postby Emklo Janss » Sun Jan 14, 2024 10:18 am

Dear all.

I have some ESP32C6 devkit modules that i play with.
I have an idea of making a matter connection with a simple humidity sensor and Another module with a simple motion detector and connect it to my matter hub at home.

Anyway, the programing and IDE setup i have already fixed, and meanwhile i do this i would like to make schematic to the Project as i go, as a mean to learn how its done and also if i like what i have order custom PCB's.

I am rather new when it comes to schematic and designs and have tried to find some easy to follow along tutorials but they all demand a rather high knowledge how everything works. i would like some easier follow along for the ESP32C6 module, do anyone know of sutch?

All the best
Emkl

It's not specifically geared towards your specific flavor of the ESP32, but it would not matter much at all.

Well, designing a custom board for esp module is not trivial, not to mention if you plan to use directly the silicon.
Did you, so far, designed any simple schematic and pcb?. Otherwise starting from scratch requires some real in deep knowledge.
I use kicad to design my boards and there are a lot of tutorials on how to use the tool: https://docs.kicad.org/.
But all these assumes you have the knowledge on how the circuits works.
