Unable to select board "ESP32 Arduino" on Arduino IDE although the menu item is there

Greeting!
Following "Installation instructions for Debian / Ubuntu OS" of https://github.com/espressif/arduino-es ... _ubuntu.md, folder "espressif/esp32" was added into both "~/Arduino/hardware" and "~/arduino-1.8.5/hardware".
According to "Arduino IDE 1.5 3rd party Hardware specification" of https://github.com/arduino/Arduino/wiki ... cification, the board name "ESP32 Arduino" has been created at the file "platfomr.txt" under folder "espressif/esp32" . And when we re-opened Arduino IDE -> Tools -> Board .., we could see a new menu item, which is "ESP32 Arduino". But we are not able to select it
Is it an issue? If yes, how to fix it?
Now we have to select the board "ESP Dev Module", is it OK?
But it seems to me that a few exceptional errors happen. I am searching the reasons... May report them on another case soon
Thanks!
