ESP32 Cam and Wifi Extenders

Hi. I love my ESP32 Cams. Icam using the stock standard Arduino CamWebserver example with one minor mod.. That is a couple of lines to set the IP address.
I use them as 'watchers' on my laser cutter and 3d printer. Just put them down and watch what is happening from afar
Now due to the size of my property I have a couple of WAVLINK AC1200 Wifi Extenders.
They all use the same SSID and connection password, so I dont have to configure equipment going from one area to another.
Next to my main WiFi point the ESP32 Cam connects perfectly.
Next to any of the extenders they wont connect.
Can somebody help advise me why they wont.
