I'm trying to flash ESP32-C3 / ESP32-H2 / EPS32-S3 with ESP-IDF (Version 5.1.2). I've done

Code: Select all

idf.py set-target esp32c3
idf.py menuconfig
idf.py build
The process ist terminating with (ESP32-C3 / ESP32-H2)
In file included from C:/Users/s/Espressif/esp-idf-v5.1.2/components/cxx/cxx_exception_stubs.cpp:6:

50 | #include <bits/cxxabi_tweaks.h>
What am I doing wrong? Are these targets currently not supported? ESP32-H series should be.

Hello,

Do you work on Linux or Windows?
Do you use VSCode or EClipse.

1) If you use VSCode
1.a) Have you set the environment variables :
IDF_PATH, IDF_TOOLS_PATH, EXTENSION_PATH, ...

1.2) Do you type
install.bat or install.sh,
export.bat or export.sh

1.3) THEN, you can type :
idf.py build

José Michel

Hello José Michel,
thank you so much for your replay.
- I'm using Windows 11
- I have installed esp-idf via online-installer
- I do not use Eclipse or VSCode
- The environment variable IDF_PATH, IDF_TOOLS_PATH is set correctly.
There are no other environment variables.
- I start the esp-idf via the Desktop-Terminal-Link, created by setup-process
Setting PYTHONNOUSERSITE, was not set

Python requirements are satisfied.

Detected installed tools that are not currently used by active ESP-IDF version.
For removing old versions of ccache, cmake, idf-driver, openocd-esp32, riscv32-esp-elf, riscv32-esp-elf-gdb, xtensa-esp-elf-gdb, xtensa-esp32-elf use command 'python.exe C:\Users\udobr.LAPTOP-HP\Documents\Espressif\esp-idf-v5.1.2\tools\idf_tools.py uninstall'
For free up even more space, remove installation packages of those tools. Use option 'python.exe C:\Users\udobr.LAPTOP-HP\Documents\Espressif\esp-idf-v5.1.2\tools\idf_tools.py uninstall --remove-archives'.

Done! You can now compile ESP-IDF projects.
Go to the project directory and run:

idf.py build

C:\Users\udobr.LAPTOP-HP\Documents\Espressif\esp-idf-v5.1.2>
- build esp32 ist working fine

Any additional idea?
Regards
Udo
