Hi,
I'm working to put a ESP32-C3 into light sleep and trying to achieve the datasheet rating of 130ua in that mode. Unfortunately, I've not been able to get the power consumption below 275ua. I am using a bare ESP32-C3 module (ESP32-C3-WROON-02-N4) -- I soldered the leads to it directly and am measuring power with a Nordic Power Profiler Kit II. (note, I've validated this PPKII so I know it is measuring correctly).
I've produced this same outcome with my code and with the light sleep example from the ESP-IDF -- same result: ~275ua.
Has anyone achieved the rated 130ua in light sleep? I know that the ESP32 itself can be finicky to get to its ratings (I have quite a few in the field holding ~20ua in a low duty cycle ULP polling pattern), requiring some pretty specific calls to get everything set right--is there a recipe for this on the C3?
Thanks,
-Chris
ESP32-C3 light sleep power consumption
Re: ESP32-C3 light sleep power consumption
Just bumping this -- can someone from Espressif comment on whether it should be possible to get to 130ua with the bare C3 WROOM module in light sleep?
Thanks,
-Chris
