The firmware does NOT work "flash read err"

Postby Mitchel » Sat Oct 05, 2024 8:07 am

After firmware, esp32-solo-1 outputs to the monitor
I didn't include any protections
In menuconfig all Security features off
The chip is new and has never been stitched

Code: Select all

rst:0x10 (RTCWDT_RTC_RESET),boot:0x13 (SPI_FAST_FLASH_BOOT)
flash read err, 1000
ets_main.c 371
I'm trying to reset efuse about the instructions

Code: Select all

....\esptool_py\esptool\espefuse.py burn_efuse FLASH_CRYPT_CNT --port COM13
espefuse.py v3.3.4-dev
Connecting...............
Detecting chip type... Unsupported detection protocol, switching and trying again...
Connecting....
Detecting chip type... ESP32

=== Run "burn_efuse" command ===
The efuses to burn:
  from BLOCK0
     - FLASH_CRYPT_CNT

Burning efuses:

    - 'FLASH_CRYPT_CNT' (Flash encryption mode counter) 0b0000001 -> 0b0000011

A fatal error occurred:         FLASH_CRYPT_CNT

Code: Select all

It looks like your chip has already been changed to Flash encryption mode.

Code: Select all

Security fuses:
FLASH_CRYPT_CNT (BLOCK0):                          Flash encryption mode counter                      = 1 R/- (0b0000001)

I followed the instructions and tried to reset FLASH_CRYPT_CNT

But it's write-protected, probably impossible.

thanks for the reply, I returned the batch to the seller
