ESP-HOSTED and SDIO clock speed above 25Mhz

Greetings,

I apologize in advance, I do not see an esp-hosted specific forum. So I will try here, as it seems related to the SDIO slave module within esp-idf.
We are using the esp-hosted solution for a WiFi and Bluetooth solution with a Linux host. We have not found that our throughput matches the published throughput of the esp-hosted documentation.
We are using v.0.4 with esp-idf v4.0 (per the recommendation in the esp-hosted documentation).
We have our Linux host set up to accept an SDIO HS connection @50Mhz. But the driver on the host side detects the SDIO card maximum clock rate is 25Mhz.
My question is, how does this value get set in the SDIO slave module and is there a way to indicate we want to run at the 50Mhz rate?
We are using the WROOM-32E module.
