Hi everyone, I would like to increase the range of my ESP32. I would like to know if there is a way to increase the range with code or is it possible to add an extra antenna to increase ?

Thanks

There are ESP32 modules with UFL connectors for adding an external antenna.
Here is just one for reference.

Ok thanks, If I use your antenna I have to unsolder the old one and re-solder this one. are these the same dimensions? and if not I can try to do this for test purposes:

if I use an external antenna will the range of the BLE be increased?

You do not need to solder anything. Just use this cable to your wifi antenna

I know, but I would like not to change the chip already integrated on the ESP32.

So either I solder as in the video to test and then for a version to be marketed I will use this chip.

Well on my esp32 I don't have enough to add an external antenna.

There are other dev kits like you have that already have the ufl connector ESP32 module on it. Just have to google around.
As an example.

Ah ok I had a hard time understanding sorry.

Let's imagine that I leave on this ESP32 that you sent me, is the range of the BLE and much increased? About ten meters?

Could not tell you as I do not use Bluetooth much. I can say that an external antenna will help more than the onboard one.

I found a big difference in Wi-fi performance between two "identical" boards which came from different sources.
I decided to investigate after reading this article:
