ESP-WROVER-KIT EEPROM

Dear all

On the ESP-WROVER-KIT V3 there is an EEPROM (U3). What is it used for on the demo kit?

It's connected to the FT2232 and can be used to customize how that chip works. I don't think we actually ended up needing it for anything, so it's likely empty by default. With the correct FTDI tools, you should be able to put something in there to make it show up with a custom name or something when you plug it into USB. It's not accessible from the ESP32, though.
