What is the current planning for progressing the changes that have been submitted to LLVM project? The changes appear to have stalled with a number of requests for changes that have gone un-done.

Thanks for the update. I actually sort of glad that you're planning on getting LLVM for ESP8266 first - it's the target that we are writing for. It's odd that Cadence are working that way, you'd think that providing incentives for uptake of their processor designs would be a selling point and a good...

LLVM backend support would be an outstanding addition, not just for Rust use, but for the variety of other languages that are now supported by clang. This was mentioned by ESP_Sprite in 2015. Has enything come of that? Is the work somewhere it could be picked up by the community?
