I was able to get 10Mhz @ESP32 working at 240Mhz with following instructions:

You can save on bit shifting the bit 1<<(2)

GPIO.out_w1ts = 0x04; // GPIO2 HIGH
GPIO.out_w1tc = 0x04; // GPIO2 LOW

My code was compiled still in debug mode.

Not sure, if there is a way to increase the speed a bit more?
